My Background
I was born in Chongqing, China. After my undergratuate and gratuate study, I worked in Chongqing University as a research engineer. I began my Ph.D. study in France in 1996 and finished in november 1999. I am now assitant lecturer at the UTBM - University of Technology of Belfort-Montbeliard, France. 2. Developing Preprocessor
- FER/Mesh 1.0 is under development which can be used to build model geometries (at the moment just 2D model) and to generate structured or unstructured mesh. By using the OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) technique, the managing of objects (keypoint, straight line, arc, Bezier and Spline line, circle, rectangle and polygons etc.) is very efficient and clear.
- FER/PrePost 1.0 is a pre/post processor for finite element analysis designed specially for the peoples who work mainly in developping the computational programs. It import only the nodes and elements from any CAD software, and the operations are very easy to define the analysis models, to review and to interpret the results quickly and efficiently.
3. Developing Finite Element Computational Programs
- FER/Drop, a computational fluid dynamics program used for modeling of droplet spreading and solidification during the thermal spray.
- FER/Heat, a computational heat tranfer program which is suitable not only for classic thermal analysis, but also for the analysis with a moving heat flux.
- FER/Solid 1.0, a solid mechanics analysis software under development in which the interfaces with Pro/Engineer, I-DEAS, ANSYS, ABAQUS, ... will be developped.
- FER/Contact, a FEA software in which the frictional contact problem between 2D or 3D deformable bodies undergoing large deformation can be solved.
4. Developing Postprocessor (demo version here…)
FER/View2.0, a general postprocessor for visualization of finite element analysis results. It is written in C++ using OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) technique and OpenGL graphical support. A PC version and a UNIX version on SGI workstation have been developed with the same class system and graphical algorithmes.
